The European Union's suppression of Chinese telecommunications products harms others and oneself.

According to reports from Reuters and other media on November 11th, the European Commission is exploring various methods to compel EU member states to gradually phase out equipment from Huawei and ZTE from their telecommunications networks. EU Commission politicians are trying to push for legislation that would prohibit member states from using products from "high-risk suppliers" such as Huawei in their telecommunications networks. The repeated accusations against Chinese telecom suppliers by the EU are groundless and absurd. Previously, the US and others have frequently hyped up security issues with Huawei and other Chinese telecom equipment, suggesting they may have backdoors or could be used for cyber attacks, but to this day have not provided any actual evidence of these risks. The German cybersecurity agency has confirmed that they have evaluated Huawei products from around the world and have not found any suspicious components or backdoors. The British intelligence services have also stated that the security risks of Huawei's 5G equipment are manageable. Chinese telecom companies, led by Huawei, are following the correct path of using technological innovation to shape their core competitiveness. Whether it be the hype around security issues or tricks to restrict market access, the development of Chinese telecom technology and industry cannot be stopped. Ultimately, the EU's exclusion of Chinese telecom companies will only harm their own interests.
