Ministry of Commerce: Hope the German side can urge the Dutch government to take practical actions as soon as possible to correct the wrong practices.

According to the Securities Times APP, on November 11th, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao held a video conference with German Federal Minister of Economy and Energy Lashet to exchange views on China-Germany and China-EU economic and trade issues. Wang Wentao emphasized that the root cause of the ASML semiconductor issue lies in the improper intervention of the Dutch government in the internal affairs of enterprises, causing global semiconductor supply chain disruptions for which the responsibility lies with the Dutch side. China, in a responsible manner, has made the greatest efforts to exempt exports that meet the conditions, easing global production and supply chain pressures in the short term. However, to ensure long-term stability in the global semiconductor supply chain, it is necessary for the Dutch side to demonstrate a constructive attitude and take practical actions. The Chinese side hopes that Germany will play a positive role, urging the Dutch government to take practical actions as soon as possible, correct its mistakes, repeal relevant measures, and promote an early solution to the problem.
