ADP forecasts a decrease in private sector employment in October.

The employment data company ADP estimates that, in the four weeks ending on October 25th, the private sector reduced 11,250 job positions per week. This is the latest data in ADP's weekly data series, which estimates the changes in private sector employment in the previous month. In another data series from last week, ADP predicted an increase of 42,000 employment positions in the private sector in October. This data aims to closely replicate the non-farm payroll report. After the data was released, the US dollar index DXY saw a short-term drop, non-US currencies collectively rose, and spot gold saw a slight increase.
