On November 11th, many netizens posted videos reflecting the collapse of the Hongqi Bridge in Barkam City, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province. The video footage shows a large amount of rocks and debris cascading down the mountainside, causing the bridge pillars and bridge deck on the mountain side to collapse. "This incident did happen this afternoon," confirmed a staff member of the Emergency Management Bureau of Barkam City, Aba Prefecture. The staff member stated that the collapse occurred at the Hongqi Bridge on National Highway 317 in Barkam City. Leaders and relevant staff have all arrived at the scene, and they will provide specific updates later and issue a report.
