Intel's AI director has transferred to OpenAI, with CEO Chen Liwu temporarily taking over his duties.

Wisdom Financial APP learned that Sachin Katti, Chief Technology and Artificial Intelligence Officer of Intel (INTC.US), has left the company and joined OpenAI to be responsible for the infrastructure-related work of the startup company. In a statement on Monday, Intel said that CEO Chen Liwu will take over Sachin Katti's position. Intel wrote in the statement, "Artificial intelligence remains one of Intel's top strategic priorities, and we are focusing on executing the technology and product roadmaps to address emerging AI workloads."
