"The production of the 300,000th vehicle by Lantu Automotive is not only a milestone for the individual company, but also a landmark event in the transformation of the automotive industry in Hubei from 'expansion of scale' to 'value creation'," said Professor Zhu Duanfeng from Wuhan University of Technology. He mentioned that Lantu Automotive's transformation path, centered around independent innovation, is driving the entire province's automotive parts industry towards a rapid transition to high-technology content and high value-added fields, forming a closed-loop of industry upgrade with "vehicle leading, parts coordination." Lantu's breakthrough coincides with a critical period in Hubei's new energy automotive "Double One Hundred Leap" strategy. By 2025, Dongfeng Motor will strive for a target of one million sales of new energy vehicles, and the production of new energy vehicles made in Hubei will also reach one million. "With the strong support of Dongfeng Company and Lantu Automotive, Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone's automotive industry transformation has also made significant progress," said the official of Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone. The proportion of new energy vehicle production in the entire area accounts for 52% of the total vehicle production, exceeding the national average level.
