Li Yang meets with the Global CEO of Mediterranean Shipping Company.

Deputy Minister of Transport Li Yang met with Soren Toft, CEO of the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), in Beijing, and the two exchanged views on common concerns. Li Yang welcomed Soren Toft and his delegation, pointing out that MSC is a well-known international shipping company and has achieved fruitful results through mutually beneficial cooperation with Chinese shipping companies. The Chinese Ministry of Transport is willing to promote further exchanges between Chinese shipping and shipbuilding companies and MSC, and deepen practical cooperation in port projects, green shipping, and improving ship safety management. They hope that MSC will continue to play to its strengths and engage in various forms of mutually beneficial cooperation with Chinese shipping companies and institutions in sustainable shipping and contribute to the development of Chinese shipping and sustainable transportation. Soren Toft thanked the Chinese Ministry of Transport for its strong support for MSC and introduced the company's business situation. He expressed confidence in China's development and stated that MSC will continue to increase investment and further enhance cooperation with China in exploring new paths for achieving green shipping, safe operations, and zero carbon goals, in order to achieve mutual development.
