The 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change opened in Brazil.
On the morning of November 10th local time, the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change officially kicked off in Belem, Brazil. Over the course of 12 days, thousands of government officials, experts, scholars, and representatives from around the world will discuss countries' climate action plans, progress towards achieving the goal of $1.3 trillion in climate financing annually, propose new measures to support countries in adapting to climate change, and accelerate the transition to a "just transition" towards a clean economy.
