As of the twelve months leading up to August of this year, the number of Chinese tourists to Australia increased by 16% year-on-year.

Marobin, Director and CEO of the Australian Tourism Agency, said in an interview that in the twelve months leading up to August 2025, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Australia reached 981,000, an increase of 16% compared to the previous year, making China the fastest growing international visitor market for Australia.
