The Investigation and Evaluation Division of the Emergency Management Department of Hebei Province recently released a report on the "313" major gas explosion accident during the construction of the Yanjiao subway project. At around 3:15 am on March 13, 2024, during shield tunneling construction between Yanjiao Station and Shenwei Street Station, a natural gas pipeline was damaged and leaked, causing natural gas to spread to Building C of the Xiao Zhanggezhuang Integrated Service Building, where a gas explosion occurred at around 7:54 am, resulting in 7 deaths and 27 injuries. The judicial authorities have taken criminal coercive measures against 7 responsible individuals of the relevant units involved.
