Hainan police have destroyed a criminal gang involved in the printing and selling of illegal lottery tickets, with a case value of 1.2 billion yuan.

Reporters learned from the Hainan Provincial Public Security Department that in October 2025, the Hainan police carried out a simultaneous operation in Haikou, Wenchang, Ding'an, and Zhuhai, Guangdong, successfully dismantling a large-scale illegal criminal gang that had been operating in Hainan for many years, involved in printing and selling "lottery books". 63 individuals were arrested, assets worth over 15 million yuan were seized, and the value of the "lottery books" sold reached 120 million yuan.
