Germany plans to approve a defense equipment procurement case worth around $3.5 billion.

According to media reports citing government documents, Germany is about to approve a defense equipment procurement plan worth over 3 billion euros, which includes purchasing 20 military helicopters from Airbus. The procurement contract to be approved by the parliament this week also includes buying 100,000 night vision goggles from German company Hensoldt and London-listed company Theon International, with an order value of approximately 1 billion euros. It was also revealed by the media that the German Ministry of Defense is planning to purchase the IRIS-T SLM air defense missile system from Diehl Defense worth 1.2 billion euros.
