Jeff Bezos' space company Blue Origin is scheduled to launch its New Glenn rocket from Cape Canaveral in Florida on Sunday, a key test for the startup as it challenges SpaceX's dominant position. The approximately 97.5-meter-tall rocket will carry two spacecraft manufactured by Rocket Lab towards Mars. This mission is the first for NASA carried out by New Glenn. The New Glenn completed its first flight in January of this year, during which the rocket successfully entered orbit but the booster failed to land. Similar to SpaceX's Falcon series, the New Glenn is also designed to be partially reusable, with boosters capable of multiple launches to lower costs.
