The super project in Sichuan is coming.
On November 7th, the mobilization meeting for the construction of the Yin Da Ji Min Project was held in Tianquan County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province. As the largest investment, longest line, and most widely beneficial cross-basin water diversion project in the history of Sichuan water conservancy, and an important "horizontal" of the main framework of the Sichuan "Six Horizontal and Six Vertical" water network, the official start of construction of the Yin Da Ji Min Project will help to break through the "water bottleneck" and inject "water dynamics" into the Chengdu Plain Economic Zone. This project is of great strategic significance in building a new era of higher-level "Tianfu Granary" and supporting the high-quality development of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.
Starting from the Luding Hydropower Station reservoir area of the Dadu River, the Yin Da Ji Min Project winds through to the Chengdu Plain, forming a water delivery pattern of "one main and two branches". The total length of the project water delivery line is 261 kilometers, with tunnels accounting for over 58%. The designed annual water diversion volume of the project is 15.23 billion cubic meters, covering 8 cities and 43 counties including Chengdu, Deyang, Mianyang, Suining, Neijiang, Ya'an, Meishan, and Ziyang, benefiting a population of 34.13 million people. The scope of water supply is highly compatible with the Chengdu Plain Economic Zone. The total investment of the project is 57.5 billion yuan, with a construction period of 96 months.
