A landslide in western Kenya has resulted in the deaths of 37 people.

The office of the government spokesperson in Kenya issued a statement on the 8th local time, reporting that a landslide in the Elgeyo-Marakwet County in the western part of the country has resulted in 37 deaths and 11 people missing. Rescue operations are still ongoing.
