According to AFP, AP and other media reports, a perfume warehouse in the province of Kocaeli in northwestern Turkey caught fire at around 9 a.m. local time on November 8th. The provincial governor stated that the fire resulted in 6 deaths and 1 injury. AFP reported that footage aired on Turkey's NTV television station showed that the two-story warehouse was destroyed in the fire. The cause of the fire is still unclear. AP cited local media reports that there were several explosions before the fire broke out. Emergency and firefighting personnel immediately rushed to the scene, and the fire was brought under control within an hour.
