The 50-year UK gilt yield rose by more than 9 basis points this week.

At the European market close on Friday, the yield on the 10-year UK government bond rose by 3.2 basis points to 4.466%, with a cumulative increase of 5.6 basis points for the week. The yield on the 2-year UK bond rose by 1.2 basis points to 3.798%, with a cumulative increase of 2.7 basis points for the week. The yield on the 30-year UK bond rose by 3.2 basis points to 5.250%, with a cumulative increase of 7.2 basis points for the week; and the yield on the 50-year UK bond rose by 3.3 basis points to 4.740%, with a cumulative increase of 9.4 basis points for the week. The 2/10-year UK bond yield spread rose by 2.066 basis points to +66.623 basis points, with a cumulative increase of 2.955 basis points for the week.
