The 8th China International Import Expo Forum on the spillover effects with the theme of "Intelligent New Consumption: Global Opportunities in Major Markets" was held on November 7 at Shanghai Hongqiao. Data released at the forum shows that the national spillover effect index will reach 67.04 in 2024, an increase of 2.23% compared to last year, with an average annual growth rate of 15.54%. Shanghai's index is 66.56, with an average annual growth rate of 16.90%; Hongqiao International Central Business District's index is 82.75, up by 6.2% compared to last year, with an impressive average annual growth rate of 50.45%. The spillover effect index of the country, Shanghai, and Hongqiao International Central Business District shows a significant growth trend, with the Hongqiao International Central Business District exhibiting particularly outstanding growth, demonstrating the influence and strategic value of the import expo as an international public product.
