Wizz Air agrees with Airbus to delay aircraft deliveries.
Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air announced on November 7th that it has reached an agreement with Airbus to rearrange its existing order delivery plan. Although Wizz Air's remaining 273 aircraft order total remains unchanged, the revised agreement adjusts the delivery schedule to fit a more sustainable and profitable capacity growth trajectory. The key elements of the revised agreement include delaying the delivery of 88 aircraft originally scheduled for before the 2030 fiscal year to the 2033 fiscal year; reducing the commitment for A321XLR aircraft from 47 to 11, while converting 36 A321XLR orders to 36 A321neo orders.
