Tesla will build a factory that produces one million silicon wafers per month.

On November 7th, Beijing time, Tesla's annual shareholder meeting began in Austin, Texas. After the nearly trillion-dollar compensation incentive plan was passed, CEO Elon Musk took the stage to begin his speech. Musk stated that chips and electricity are the core bottlenecks for future development. He mentioned that Tesla is ready with energy solutions, but chip supply needs to be expanded. He also mentioned that Tesla may need to build a "giant chip factory Terafab", with a goal of producing 1 million wafers per month. He said that he "cannot see any other way for the company to reach the necessary chip production volume" besides this.
