Morgan Stanley stated in its latest research report that Apple's emerging robot technology could ultimately be worth over $133 billion annually. Analysts including Apple observer Erik Woodring wrote in the report: "As artificial intelligence and robotics technology change the physical world, Apple can become a leading enterprise in the field of embodied artificial intelligence with its vertical integration capabilities, a large installed base of over 2.3 billion devices, and a yet to be fully recognized strength in robot technology." "Considering Apple's current market share in many leading consumer products and the opportunity to monetize products and services, we conservatively estimate that assuming Apple's market share is 9% fifteen years from now, revenue from Apple's robot business will reach $130 billion by 2040, which is equivalent to 30% of Apple's current revenue." He added. In addition, analysts pointed out that the contribution of this business to Apple's current stock price could reach at least 10%, and possibly up to 25%. Morgan Stanley rates Apple as "overweight" with a target price of $305, which is about 24% higher than the current level.
