Sam responded to the user claiming that the payment redirect led to a pornographic webpage: After investigation, it may be due to the user's device being hijacked by the network.
On November 6th, it was reported by the media that a netizen posted a video on social media platform, claiming that when they placed an order and paid using the "Minsheng Sam's Club Co-branded Credit Card" on the Sam's Club Member Store app, the page suddenly redirected to a pornographic website, sparking discussion. On the 7th, Sam's Club responded, stating, "We have noted the related abnormal feedback and take this matter very seriously. After investigation by our technical team, it is highly likely that this situation was caused by a network hijacking attack on the user's device." Sam's Club further stated that currently, all services of the Sam's Club app are operating normally, and they have not received any other similar feedback. "Ensuring the security of member transactions is our top priority. Our system has a comprehensive security protection system, and we will continue to iterate security strategies to address the constantly changing risks in the network environment. We also remind our members that if they encounter any abnormal situations, they should immediately stop operations to prevent losses."
