On November 6, the National Energy Administration held a symposium in Lanzhou, Gansu to study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Wang Hongzhi, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the National Energy Administration, emphasized the need to accurately grasp the new situation and new tasks of energy development in the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. The first is to strengthen domestic self-reliance capabilities and ensure diversified overseas energy supply, fully enhance the resilience, stability, and security of the energy supply chain; the second is to accelerate the construction of a new energy system, focus on building a new power system, promote green and low-carbon energy consumption; the third is to continuously deepen energy system reforms, accelerate the construction of the energy market system, deepen the construction of a national unified electricity market and oil and gas reform, stimulate the vitality of reform, strengthen energy regulation, optimize the business environment, fully play the decisive role of the market in resource allocation, and better play the role of the government.
