The Malaysian ringgit has risen to its highest level in over a year against the US dollar, boosted by the outlook for Malaysian economic growth.

The Malaysian ringgit rose to its strongest level since October 2024, thanks to Malaysia's positive economic growth outlook and reduced expectations of a rate cut by the central bank. The US dollar against the Malaysian ringgit fell by 0.1% to 4.1790.
