The American Federal Aviation Administration requires 40 airports across the United States to reduce flight operations.
Journalists learned on November 6th local time that the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States has issued a draft order requiring major airlines to reduce flight operations by 4% at 40 busy airports nationwide by 6 a.m. on November 7th Eastern Time. United Airlines announced on the 6th that they will proactively cancel about 200 flights starting on the 7th, accounting for about 4% of the day's flight schedule, mainly regional flights. The company also expects that the cancellation rate for the 8th and 9th will also remain at about 4%. On the same day, Delta Air Lines stated that in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration's instructions, they will cancel about 170 flights on the 7th.
