On November 6th local time, the Peruvian Congress passed a resolution declaring Mexican President Lopez Obrador as "unwelcome." The Congress believes that the Lopez Obrador government providing diplomatic asylum to Peruvian former Minister of Agriculture, Betssy Chavez, constitutes "unacceptable interference in Peruvian internal affairs" and "offends Peru's democratic system." In May of this year, the Peruvian Congress passed a motion to declare Lopez Obrador as "unwelcome."
