The German stock market fell more than 1%, while the UK stock market dropped from its record high closing.

The German DAX 30 index closed down 1.20% at 23,762.87 points. The French stock index closed down 1.39%, the Italian stock index closed down 0.80%, the bank index fell 0.78%, and the UK stock index closed down 0.45% from its all-time high.
