German industrial output increased by 1.3% month-on-month in September.

Data released by the German Federal Statistical Office on the 6th showed that, affected by fluctuations in the automotive industry output, seasonally and working day adjusted, Germany's industrial output in September increased by 1.3% compared to the previous month, an improvement from the 3.7% decrease in August. However, overall, industrial output in the third quarter of this year decreased by 0.8% compared to the previous quarter. The data showed that in September, output in the German construction industry decreased by 0.9%, while output in the energy sector increased by 1.3%. Excluding construction and energy industries, industrial output in the same month increased by 1.9% compared to the previous month. Among them, output in the automotive industry, the largest industrial sector in Germany, increased by 12.3% compared to the previous month. Previously, this industry was affected by factors such as factory summer holidays and production line adjustments, leading to a 16.7% decrease in output in August. After adjusting for working days, German industrial output in September decreased by 1% compared to the same month last year.
