Chongqing administrative division adjustment - abolish Jiangbei District and Yubei District.

Today, Chongqing held a press conference to introduce the adjustment of some administrative divisions. This administrative adjustment involves the national new area of Liangjiang New Area and the districts of Jiangbei, Yubei, and Beibei. The first adjustment, relying on the national new area of Liangjiang New Area, abolishes Jiangbei and Yubei districts and establishes Liangjiang New Area. The second adjustment, the towns of Beibei District, such as Beibei District, Beibei District, Beibei District, Beibei District, and Cizhu Town, will be reassigned to Beibei District. After this adjustment, Chongqing has jurisdiction over 25 districts, 8 counties, and 4 autonomous counties. Among them, Liangjiang New Area has jurisdiction over 31 streets and 11 towns, with an area of approximately 1360 square kilometers and a population of approximately 3.52 million; Beibei District has jurisdiction over 6 streets and 11 towns, with an area of approximately 1100 square kilometers and a population of approximately 600,000.
