Head of the Turkish National Intelligence Agency meets with a Hamas delegation to discuss a ceasefire in Gaza.
According to the reporters from the main station, on November 5th local time, the head of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization, Karan, met with Khalil Hayya, the chief negotiator of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, in Istanbul. According to the statement released after the meeting, Hamas thanked Turkey for its mediation and guarantee role in promoting the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and supervising its implementation. The Hamas delegation also reiterated that despite multiple violations of the agreement by Israel during the ceasefire, Hamas will continue to fulfill its ceasefire commitments. The two sides discussed specific measures needed to ensure the smooth implementation of the ceasefire mechanism and exchanged views on current issues. In addition, they also discussed the humanitarian aid work in Gaza by Turkey. They exchanged views on expanding aid channels, accelerating relief processes, and coordinating cooperation between Turkey and international organizations regarding humanitarian aid.
