Shanghai Hongqiao Airport Port implements "face recognition" smart customs clearance channel.

The National Immigration Administration issued a notice on November 3, deciding to implement 10 innovative measures to support the expansion of opening up services and promote high-quality development. As one of the first six implementation measures, on November 5, the immigration inspection authorities in Shanghai officially implemented the "promotion and application of intelligent customs clearance in some ports with regular flights to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan" measure at the Hongqiao Airport port. A total of 24 dedicated channels have been set up at the Hongqiao Airport port, including 9 for outbound and 15 for inbound passengers. The display screens above the intelligent customs clearance channels alternately show the signs "intelligent customs clearance" and "intelligent express channel", and artificial channels are also set up next to the channels to provide diversified options for passengers who need assistance.
