Attack at a funeral in central Sudan, at least 40 people dead.

On November 5th local time, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs stated that a funeral ceremony in the capital of North Kordofan state in central Sudan, Obeid city, was attacked by armed groups on the 4th, resulting in at least 40 civilians dead and tens of others injured. The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs did not specify the responsible party for the attack and called for all sides in the Sudanese conflict to immediately cease hostile actions, abide by international humanitarian law, and protect civilians.
