Thailand launches anti- circumvention investigation and midterm review investigation on anti-dumping case of hot rolled steel plate from China.

On November 3, 2025, the Department of Foreign Trade of the Thai Ministry of Commerce announced that, in response to applications submitted by domestic companies in Thailand, an anti-avoidance investigation has been launched on the anti-dumping case of hot-rolled steel plates originating from China. The investigation will examine whether the products involved have been slightly modified and exported to Thailand to circumvent the existing anti-dumping measures. The products under investigation are hot-rolled alloy and non-alloy steel sheet coils and non-coil products with a width exceeding 1600 millimeters or 3048 millimeters, involving 6 Chinese producers: Baosteel, Baowu Steel, Benxi Steel, Hesteel, Shougang, and Shagang. At the same time, a midterm review investigation has been initiated on the anti-dumping case of hot-rolled steel plates originating from China and Malaysia.
