The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has deployed the implementation of the plan to build a strong agricultural country and the formulation of the "15th Five-Year Plan" for agricultural and rural development.

On November 4-5, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs held a meeting in Linyi City, Shandong Province to accelerate the implementation of the plan to build a strong agricultural country and the compilation of the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" for agricultural and rural development. The meeting deeply studied and implemented the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, earnestly implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions and instructions on the work related to agriculture, rural areas, and farmers, exchanged experiences and practices, and discussed and deployed key tasks. Zhang Xingwang, member of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Vice Minister, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting emphasized that agricultural and rural departments at all levels should deeply study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, quickly unify their thoughts and actions with the Party Central Committee's decisions and deployments, effectively enhance their sense of responsibility and mission in carrying out the work of agricultural and rural development planning, accurately grasp the historical position, development situation, and key directions of the work related to agriculture, rural areas, and farmers in the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and lead the high-quality development of agriculture and rural areas with high-quality planning. The meeting stressed the need to base actions on local resource endowments and the foundation of agricultural and rural development, implement practical measures, and promote the implementation of the tasks specified in the "Plan to Accelerate the Construction of an Agricultural Powerhouse". Efforts should be made to accelerate the formulation of relevant plans for the development of agriculture and rural areas in the 14th Five-Year Plan, align with the goal of basically achieving agricultural modernization by 2035 and rural areas being equipped with modern living conditions, plan and arrange the train of thought, goals, key tasks, and practical measures for the development of agriculture and rural areas in the 14th Five-Year Plan, and gather wisdom to improve the quality of planning. Combining practical experience with the "Million Project", efforts should be made to strengthen overall coordination, promote rural revitalization in an orderly and area-specific manner. Efforts should be made to accelerate the comprehensive green transformation of agricultural development and plan for the launch of a new round of agricultural resource zoning work.
