A factory in Pohang suspected to be involved in iron production is believed to have had a toxic gas leakage, resulting in 1 death and 3 injuries.

The South Korean police said on Wednesday that a factory belonging to POSCO in the southeastern city of Pohang suspected to have a toxic gas leak, causing one death and three injuries. The accident occurred at around 9 a.m. on Wednesday local time, when subcontracted workers were preparing to repair equipment on a factory production line about 270 kilometers southeast of Seoul, they inhaled a believed to be dangerous unknown gas. Four workers were sent to the hospital for breathing difficulties, but one worker in his 50s died on the way. The other three remaining workers are conscious and in stable condition.
