In order to further facilitate the entry and exit of people, improve customs clearance efficiency, the Exit and Entry Administration of the People's Republic of China has decided to promote the application of smart customs clearance at 12 open ports including Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport and Wutong Passenger Terminal starting from November 5, 2025. At the same time, the scope of smart customs clearance will be expanded to include Taiwanese residents holding a valid Taiwan resident pass for travel between mainland China and Taiwan.
