The new operation schedule of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway will be implemented starting from November 5th, achieving a "1-hour commuting circle" between the central areas of the two cities.

Reporters have learned from Shenzhen Railway that, in order to better meet the diverse travel needs of passengers, a new operating schedule will officially be implemented on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway starting from midnight on November 5, 2025. With this new schedule, the speed and frequency of train services on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway will be upgraded. In terms of speed, the fastest train between Shenzhen and Guangzhou East will now take 56 minutes, a 6.7% increase from the current time. This will allow for the two major city centers to be connected within a "1-hour commuting circle". In terms of frequency, the number of trains operated daily will increase to 178, with an average of one train every 13 minutes and a minimum departure interval of 5 minutes. Additional trains will be added to stations such as Guangzhou North and Guangzhou Xintang, creating a more frequent and efficient "show up and go" mode of operation similar to a bus service.
