Taiwanese internet celebrity "Guanchang" Chen Zhihan visited Lai's ancestral temple in Xintian Village, Pinghe County, Fujian province on November 3rd. Lai Hanzhong, the secretary general of the Lai clan association, emphasized, "Anyone with the surname Lai is Chinese and Han Chinese, this is certain." According to Taiwan's China Times News website, "Guanchang" flew from Taoyuan Airport in Taiwan to the mainland on October 25 for a 12-day trip. Before his departure, "Guanchang" said in an interview that the main purpose of his trip is to help Lai Ching-te trace his roots.
