Analysts believe that currently, the M0 positioning of the digital renminbi has gradually exposed many limitations in practice, such as the lack of interest-bearing characteristics leading to insufficient user willingness to hold, and the fragmentation of the banking account system exacerbating the lack of usability. Therefore, the transformation towards M1 positioning is seen as the key to solving the above problems.
