According to the Clean Energy Forum of the 7th East Asia Summit, in recent years, China's energy and power investment cooperation with ASEAN countries has been increasing constantly. The cross-border electricity mutual aid between the two sides has exceeded 750 billion kilowatt hours, with renewable energy accounting for over 90%. ASEAN has become an important destination for China's energy investment and construction. Preliminary statistics show that by the end of 2024, the cumulative investment in hydropower, wind power, and photovoltaic projects through cooperation between the two sides has increased by more than 5 times compared to 2014, with installed capacity growing by 15 times. According to incomplete statistics, Chinese enterprises have participated in over 190 energy grid projects in ASEAN countries, with a total amount exceeding $92 billion.
