Since the "14th Five-Year Plan", Sichuan's FDI has reached 14.61 billion US dollars.

On the 4th, the ninth session of the "Achieving Success in the '14th Five-Year Plan' and Continuing to Write a New Chapter" series of theme press conferences organized by the Information Office of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, Sichuan Provincial Economic Cooperation Bureau first-level inspector Fang Qing stated that since the beginning of the "14th Five-Year Plan", as of September, Sichuan's foreign direct investment reached a total of $14.61 billion, an increase of 28.1% compared to the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, with the scale maintaining the first in the central and western regions. In terms of projects, Sichuan has established a total of 4,070 foreign-invested enterprises, an increase of 34.1%; in terms of structure, FDI in high-tech industries increased by 54.9%, and FDI in scientific research and technical service industries increased by 219.2%; in terms of sources, FDI from Europe, America, Japan, and South Korea increased by 4.1%, while FDI from countries and regions participating in the construction of the "Belt and Road" increased by 26.2%, forming a diversified pattern of foreign investment sources covering developed economies and emerging markets.
