Li Ming, vice chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, delivered a speech at the 4th International Financial Leaders Investment Summit, stating that they will further deepen practical cooperation between the mainland and Hong Kong capital markets. They will focus on improving the quality and efficiency of overseas listings, expanding the scope of the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect, supporting the inclusion of RMB stock trading counters, REITS, etc. in the Hong Kong Stock Connect, actively supporting Hong Kong in launching government bond futures, enriching Hong Kong's offshore RMB risk management tools, firmly supporting Hong Kong in consolidating and enhancing its status as an international financial center, and promoting the formation of a new pattern of onshore and offshore coordinated development and positive interaction. They will further strengthen regulatory capabilities and risk prevention in an open environment, coordinate development and security, deepen cross-border regulatory and enforcement cooperation with institutions such as the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, strengthen cross-border capital flow and risk monitoring, promote information sharing, policy dialogue, and collaborative action, and resolutely prevent the cross-border transmission and resonance of risks. At the same time, under the IOSCO framework, they will jointly promote global capital market governance reforms and drive the capital markets to be more fair, just, inclusive, and resilient.
