Hang Seng Index Company: The Hang Seng Composite Index fell by 3.9% in October, with the energy sector performing relatively well, rising by 6.6%.
According to the Wise Finance APP, the Hang Seng Index Company released a review for October, pointing out that the Hong Kong stock market (represented by the Hang Seng Composite Index) fell 3.9% in October. The Hang Seng Index and Hang Seng China Enterprises Index fell by 3.5% and 4.0% respectively, while the Hang Seng Volatility Index and Hang Seng China H-Share Volatility Index fell by 1% and 3% respectively, to 21 and 23. The Hang Seng Technology Index, tracking the leading technology companies listed in Hong Kong, fell by 8.6% in October. The Hang Seng Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect China 500 Index, reflecting the performance of the 500 largest listed companies in Hong Kong and mainland China, recorded a 1.7% decline in October. Meanwhile, the Hang Seng A-Share Connect 300 Index, reflecting the performance of the 300 largest listed companies in mainland China, recorded a 0.1% decline.
