The Cyberspace Administration of China has issued a notice on launching a special action to clean up the online environment for the 15th National Games and the Special Olympics, from November 4 to December 20. The focus will be on addressing six prominent issues, including spreading false information, smearing the "one country, two systems" policy, unauthorized conduct of internet news information services, counterfeit sports event websites and applications, organizing "human flesh searches," etc. Local cyberspace administrations are required to supervise website platforms to fulfill their responsibilities, strengthen investigation and disposal, and keep the online reporting channels open.
