Guinea President Alpha Conde announces his participation in the December presidential elections.

On November 3rd, local time, President Mamadi Dunbia of Guinea officially announced that he will participate in the presidential election scheduled for December 28th in the country. In September 2021, Guinea's then-President Conde was overthrown by the military, and the transitional government led by Dunbia has been in power since. On the evening of September 27th this year, Dunbia announced through the national television station that the presidential election will be held on December 28th.
