Hebei 10 places approved to abolish townships and establish towns.

Recently, there have been new developments in the administrative divisions adjustment in various places in Hebei. Xingtai, Langfang, Baoding, Dingzhou, and Qinhuangdao, a total of 10 places in 5 cities, have been approved to be changed from villages to towns. On October 30th, the Xingtai Civil Affairs Bureau announced that, with the approval of the Hebei Provincial People's Government, Yali Town would be established in place of Yanli Village in Nanhe District of Xingtai, and Zaoyuan Town would be established in place of Zaoyuan Village in Wei County. On the same day, the Langfang Municipal People's Government also announced that, upon approval from the provincial government, Liujie Town would be established in place of Liujie Village in Yongqing County; and Caojiawu Town would be established in place of Caojiawu Village. The government's location, jurisdiction, and administrative boundaries remain unchanged. Similarly, the Qinhuangdao Municipal People's Government announced that, with approval from the Hebei Provincial People's Government, Liangshuihe Town would be established in place of Liangshuihe Village in Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County, and the original government location, jurisdiction, and administrative boundaries would remain unchanged.
