National Bureau of Statistics: Prioritize supporting private enterprises to lead standard research and development.
Today, the national data standardization technical committee held the "Standard Week" event in Nanjing, Jiangsu province. Officials from the National Bureau of Statistics and the State Administration for Market Regulation stated that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, more than 120 national standards in the field of data have been developed and published, with a wide application focus on artificial intelligence, new infrastructure, data trading, and circulation, empowering various industries such as industrial manufacturing, healthcare, and transportation. Officials from the National Bureau of Statistics introduced that in the process of developing related standards in the field of data, a standard ecosystem led by enterprises and with mutual promotion between government and enterprises is accelerating. Currently, enterprises account for 78% of all units and institutions participating in the development of national data-related standards. Looking towards the 15th Five-Year Plan, efforts will continue to encourage and support enterprises, especially private enterprises, to participate in the development and revision of standards, prioritizing support for private enterprises with strong innovation capabilities and mastery of core technologies to lead the standard development.
