According to the website, the main responsibilities of the Debt Management Department include: formulating and implementing government domestic debt management systems and policies, formulating central and local government debt management systems and methods, preparing plans for the balance limits of national debt and local government debt, handling government domestic debt issuance and payment management, handling government external debt management, formulating basic management systems, strengthening government debt monitoring and supervision, and preventing and resolving hidden debt risks. The leaders of the Debt Management Department of the Ministry of Finance include: Director Li Dawei, Deputy Directors Qu Fuguo and Zhao Zeyong.
