On November 3rd, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank announced plans to establish an office in Hong Kong to meet its growing business needs. The Hong Kong SAR government welcomes the decision of AIIB and has expressed its full support to further promote sustainable development of Asian infrastructure. The Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of the Hong Kong SAR government, Paul Chan, stated that the Chief Executive had actively sought for AIIB to establish an office in Hong Kong in this year's policy address. We are delighted to receive the good news of AIIB deciding to establish an office in Hong Kong, and we will actively cooperate with AIIB's needs and provide the necessary support for setting up the office.
