On November 3rd local time, Kari Lotfullah Habibi, head of the public health department in Samangan Province, Afghanistan, stated that an earthquake in the province early that day had caused casualties in different areas. According to preliminary statistics, there were already 8 deaths and over 180 injuries in the province. The official explained that the number of casualties may further increase, and health teams are collaborating with other local agencies to treat the injured.
